1. Before the operation starts, the dentist will conduct an oral examination and communicate with the whitening patient. Pregnant women and patients with severe periodontal disease will not be suitable for this type of tooth whitening.
2. And compare and record the color of the teeth before whitening, which can be photographed and archived.
3. Whitening patients and operators wear goggles.
4. Put the mouthpiece into the patient’s mouth.
5. Simply treat the tooth surface with polishing sand.
6. Put the moisture barrier cotton sliver on the inside of the lip and apply lip balm.
7. Apply the light-curing resin on the gums and cover it to 0.5mm below the gums, and irradiate it with a light-curing lamp for about 3 seconds.
8. Mix hydrogen peroxide and whitening powder into a paste, and apply the adjusted whitening agent on the surface of 16 or more teeth, with a thickness of about 2-3mm.
9. Adjust the cold light lamp head, the lamp head should be 90 degrees perpendicular to the tooth surface, and the closer it is to the opening, the better. 10. Press the start button to start the first 8-minute course of treatment. After the end of the treatment, the machine will stop automatically. Then use a strong straw to absorb the whitening agent on the tooth surface, and use a cotton ball or paper towel to wipe the remaining whitening agent between the teeth. Do not rinse with water.
11. Repeat steps 8-10 for a second 8-minute course of treatment.
12. If the patient reacts to tooth sensitivity or pain, the whitening operation should be stopped.
13. Usually two 8-minute courses of treatment can see obvious results, but we recommend completing 3 courses of treatment to achieve the best results.
14. After the whitening is completed, suck off the whitening agent, carefully remove the light-curing resin and cotton sliver, rinse the teeth and interdental spaces with water, and remove the mouthpiece and goggles.
15. Do the colorimetric comparison of teeth after whitening, which can be photographed and archived.
16. A small number of patients may experience slight soreness on their teeth after whitening, which is normal and usually disappears after 12 hours. If necessary, take a pain reliever to relieve symptoms.
