In just the past few years, NYU College of Dentistry has opened the Center for Oral Health of People with Disabilities; the NYU Dentistry Brooklyn Patient Care Center; and NYU College of Dentistry’s Metropolitan Community Health Center, a federally qualified health center located on the first floor of the NYU Dental Center in Manhattan that provides DDS students with experience in the medical management of dental patients.
The Center for Oral Health Policy and Management at NYU College of Dentistry is an interdisciplinary action laboratory dedicated to developing and promoting a national oral health policy and management agenda that emphasizes the fundamental relationship between oral health and overall health and the responsibility of dental professionals to the overall well-being of the public.
NYU College of Dentistry’s World Health Organization Collaborating Center for Quality Improvement and Evidence-Based Dentistry is one of only ten collaborating centers worldwide and the only one in the Americas, dedicated to achieving oral health equity worldwide.
