PHIJ (Periodontal Health Research Institute of Japan), which provides dental education programs in Tokyo, Nagoya and Fukuoka, as well as Houston and Omaha; soeasy Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter referred to as “soeasy”), which supports the development of digital transformation talents within the company by fostering a culture of education and mutual teaching with the slogan “Teaching each other is great” through video manuals, SNS tool applications and professionally produced short business videos, has launched a new service to promote preventive dentistry in the dental industry in collaboration with Itreat Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Gifu City, Gifu Prefecture, hereinafter referred to as “Itreat”), which mainly provides website production, business start-up support, patient attraction and recruitment measures, system development, seminar business, etc. for dental clinics.
Through this new service, some of the preventive dental education content provided by PHIJ to dental clinics will be incorporated into soeasy’s “soeasy buddy”, creating an environment where MTM (medical model) can be implemented more effectively in the dental care environment. In addition, Itreat will develop the website and process of the new service and provide the industry with an environment that enables better preventive dental care.
Preventive dentistry is a form of dental care that emphasizes prevention rather than treatment after tooth decay or periodontal disease has occurred, and it contributes greatly not only to oral health, but also to overall health and improved quality of life (such as enjoying good food).
The Medical Treatment Model (MTM) is a more advanced approach that takes the concept of preventive dentistry a step further, providing a more personalized preventive program tailored to each patient’s risks.
However, establishing MTM within a hospital and offering it to patients requires overcoming some challenges, such as establishing processes and training staff. Through this collaboration, the aim is to build the system into the soeasy buddy application to facilitate in-hospital communication, thereby creating an environment where learning can be conducted more easily and conveniently via smartphones, and helping to solve building-related problems.
