According to the latest QS World University Rankings by Subject, Hong Kong has seen a remarkable improvement in its academic standing, with 68% of the 231 subjects across nine institutions showing an increase in rankings. This makes Hong Kong the region with the greatest improvement globally. In addition to these gains, six subjects from Hong Kong institutions have been ranked in the top 10 in the world, marking an increase of two subjects compared to the previous year.
The highest-ranking subject is HKU Dentistry, which has achieved an impressive second place in the world. Other notable rankings include HKU Education, which holds the third position, and CUHK Nursing, ranked fifth. Additionally, HKU Linguistics is ranked ninth, while CUHK Linguistics comes in tenth. HKU Geography also made a significant mark in the top 10. These achievements reflect the continuous growth and global recognition of Hong Kong’s academic institutions and their commitment to excellence in higher education.
