The semi-finals of the inaugural Digital Oral Innovation Challenge recently concluded successfully, with 26 outstanding projects advancing to the finals, all vying for the top prizes. Among these, 12 projects were selected from the early group, and 14 from the growth group. The event was supported by the People’s Government of Rizhao City and organized by the Management Committee of Rizhao High-tech Industrial Development Zone.
During the two-day semi-finals, the project presentations were impressive, with the shortlisted teams showcasing the key features, market potential, and business plans of their projects. The evaluation experts offered valuable feedback, guiding the teams with precision, and expressed high expectations for the market prospects of many projects.
It is worth highlighting that the finalists are focused on the digital frontier of the oral industry, with projects spanning oral periodontal equipment, 3D printing materials, oral big data systems, orthodontic force visualization systems, and cephalometric fixed-point measurement systems, among other software and hardware solutions. These projects reflect the vitality of the digital oral industry and highlight China’s innovative approach to digital oral care.
On March 30, the competition will culminate in the final showdown, where all eyes will be on the race for the top three prizes. The organizers stated that the winning teams will not only receive substantial cash prizes but also benefit from various forms of support and incentive policies to maximize the impact of their projects. On March 31, the 2025 Digital Dental Industry High-Quality Development Conference will be held by the Management Committee of Rizhao High-tech Industrial Development Zone. The awards ceremony for the Digital Oral Innovation Challenge will also take place during this event.
