Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population has announced the continued operation of a specialized medical convoy, providing crucial dental care to Palestinian patients in North Sinai. The convoy is stationed at Sheikh Zuweid Central Hospital, Arish General Hospital, and Bir al-Abd Model Hospital, offering treatment to injured Palestinians and their companions.
Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the Ministry’s spokesperson, shared that the convoy is led by a distinguished team of dental specialists, including Dr. Medhat Manji, a prominent U.S.-based dental expert, alongside Walid Hassan, Shaheen Hisham, Ahmed Ali Hassan, and Ahmed Fikry Abdel Qader. Abdel Ghaffar emphasized that the team is utilizing their expertise to provide high-quality care to the patients.
The medical convoy operated for two days, offering a range of dental services such as examinations, gum treatments, fillings, routine and surgical extractions, as well as medication. In total, 154 Palestinian patients received dental treatment, with 66 cases at Arish General Hospital, 69 at Sheikh Zuweid Central Hospital, and 19 at Bir al-Abd Model Hospital.
Abdel Ghaffar reiterated that this initiative forms part of Egypt’s broader efforts to support the Palestinian healthcare system, underscoring Egypt’s commitment to humanitarian aid and leadership in regional and international healthcare support.
