As the spring semester takes full swing, it’s the perfect moment to reflect on the remarkable achievements we’ve seen since the holiday season.
One of our standout accomplishments is the grand opening of the Delta Dental Urgent and Special Care Clinic in December, a key milestone in our ongoing facility revitalization campaign. It was a true honor to celebrate this moment with many distinguished state dignitaries, President Kimo Ah Yun, and numerous colleagues. Our renovated clinics continue to receive high praise from visitors, and I take immense pride in these newly updated spaces. With work nearing completion in areas like Surgical Services, Prosthodontics, and Oral Pathology, I’m excited to see the clinic revitalization come to its full fruition.
This edition of Behind the Smiles highlights the impressive awards and honors received by our faculty and staff. These well-deserved recognitions showcase the significance of teamwork, dedication, and exceptional leadership within our institution.
Behind the scenes, much progress is also being made at MUSoD. I want to commend Drs. Zeller, Talley, Karl, and the many others who have been diligently preparing for CODA’s site visit on March 3, where they will review our proposed General Practice Residency program. Additionally, I want to extend my gratitude to Tom Wirtz and the Dental Informatics team for successfully launching our new AI-powered assistant. I look forward to sharing more updates as this system continues to evolve. These initiatives exemplify the collaborative spirit that defines our school, and I couldn’t be prouder of these cross-functional efforts.
As you can see, we’re as busy as ever, with no sign of slowing down. The progress we’ve made is truly inspiring, and I hope you’re equally excited about the positive changes taking place across our institution.
