The Indiana University Northwest Dental Hygiene Program, in collaboration with the American Dental Association, is hosting its annual Give Kids a Smile event, offering free dental care to children aged 5-12 without dental insurance.
The event will take place on February 15 and February 22, from 8 a.m. to noon, at the IU Northwest Dunes Medical/Professional Building. Services provided include dental exams, cleanings, X-rays, fluoride treatments, and oral hygiene education.
Dental hygiene students from IU Northwest will administer the treatments under the supervision of a licensed dentist and dental hygienists. Last year, the program provided over $1,300 in free dental services to 18 children.
Due to limited space, appointments are required. Walk-ins will not be accepted. To schedule an appointment, please call the Dental Clinic at 219-980-6772 and mention the Give Kids a Smile program.
