HUTCHINSON, Kan. (KWCH) – If you’re in need of dental care, the Kansas Mission of Mercy (KMOM) is hosting a free dental clinic this weekend, January 17 and 18, at the Kansas State Fairgrounds’ Meadowlark Building in Hutchinson.
The two-day event offers free dental services to both adults and children. Doors will open at 5:30 a.m. on both days, and no prior insurance, documentation, or X-rays are required. The clinic is designed for individuals who lack regular dental care or have unmet dental needs.
Chaired by Hutchinson dentists Todd Esau and Jared Dye, the 2025 clinic is a collaborative effort with the Kansas Dental Charitable Foundation. Services provided will include cleanings, fillings, extractions, and dental hygiene education. Patients will be treated on a first-come, first-served basis, and the clinic will operate with 100 dental chairs supported by nearly 1,000 volunteers, including dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants.
KMOM operates solely on donations and grants, with no state or federal funding. The organization relies on local volunteers to ensure the success of the event.
Since its inception in 2003, KMOM has provided free dental care to over 32,900 patients, delivering a total of $23.2 million in services.
