DuBOIS – Penn Highlands Healthcare has announced the addition of Dr. Katie Richardson, DDS, MS, an experienced oral and maxillofacial surgeon, to its esteemed medical team.
Dr. Richardson will be practicing at two locations: J Rice Oral Maxillofacial and Aesthetic Facial Surgery in Clearfield and the Advanced Oral Surgery and Implant Center in DuBois. In her role, she offers advanced surgical treatments for a range of conditions, including oral, jaw, and neck surgeries, along with tumor and lesion removals.
Her expertise extends to several common procedures such as dental implants, facial cosmetic surgery, treatment for temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJ), as well as the management of tooth accidents, infections, and the removal of wisdom teeth.
Before joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Richardson built a comprehensive background working at several prestigious institutions in Pittsburgh, including UPMC Montefiore, UPMC Presbyterian/Shadyside, UPMC Mercy, and UPMC Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Richardson holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. She completed her oral and maxillofacial surgery internship at the University of Kentucky in Lexington and went on to complete her residency at the University of Pittsburgh’s Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
