50 Cent has once again taken aim at Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder Dame Dash, mocking him after Dash made peculiar remarks about his dental issues in a recent interview.
During an appearance on the America Nu Network, Dash made a strange statement, saying he had been “praying” for his teeth to fall out while addressing 50 Cent in a previous video. According to Dash, his intention was to generate buzz and create conversation in pop culture by “dropping jewels” that would get the internet talking. “I was praying that because, in the same sentence that I was calling out 50, that I dropped jewels that pop culture would talk about. The internet talked about it. And I was really happy ’cause I gauge how funny shit is on my jokes I have for myself,” Dash explained.
He went on to mention pulling his teeth out in reference to his appearance, though clarifying that it wasn’t as though he was walking around with missing teeth. This led to 50 Cent’s quick rebuttal. Taking to Instagram, 50 shared Dash’s comments, sarcastically labeling the confession a “new low.” He wrote: “So let me get this straight @DameDash, you were praying your teeth fell out, so people would talk about it? Yeah, you broke for real. This is a new low! Keep my name out your mouth, and your teeth in, ok?”
The latest drama comes on the heels of a September Instagram Live where Dash’s teeth appeared to fall out during a heated exchange about his feud with 50 Cent. Dash later clarified that it wasn’t dentures, but a grill, and explained that he had dental implants that needed replacing every 20 years. “First of all, shit is not dentures. These are my grills,” Dash said, adding that he would soon undergo oral surgery. He took the opportunity to show the missing teeth on camera, asserting that they were not dentures.
The incident has also sparked mockery from Dash’s longtime rival, Steve Stoute. In a recent interview, Stoute described Dash’s situation as embarrassing, saying, “It goes from a point where it’s like, whatever, haha rap beef — ‘You didn’t make it, you’re not that guy’ — to your teeth are falling out.” He continued, “I mean seriously, your teeth are falling out. You’re lying through your teeth and your teeth are falling out. You’re trying to create and muster animosity with anybody to create some momentum around some bullshit?”
50 Cent, always quick to jump on the drama, shared Stoute’s comments on his own Instagram, agreeing with the music mogul’s assessment. “It’s embarrassing, I mean, it’s da Rock,” 50 wrote, referencing Dash’s former label Roc-A-Fella Records. “What is you doing playing wit 50?”
This ongoing back-and-forth shows no signs of slowing down as the two continue to trade barbs online, with 50 Cent seemingly enjoying the upper hand in this latest round of their long-standing rivalry.
