Kanye West, known as Ye, unveiled the haunting cover for his upcoming 11th studio album, Bully, on Wednesday. The striking image was captured by 86-year-old Japanese photographer Daidō Moriyama.
The cover features a model showcasing a distinctive black grill, reminiscent of the rapper-designer’s extravagant $850,000 titanium teeth, which he commissioned earlier this year. Ye sought the expertise of Beverly Hills dentist Thomas Connelly and master dental technician Naoki Hayashi to craft this high-end dental accessory, drawing inspiration from the notorious James Bond character, Jaws. An insider previously disclosed to DailyMail.com that these were permanent dental implants, stating, “Ye has had the bulk of his teeth shaved down to little tombstones, which is standard procedure for veneers.”
However, Dr. Connelly, a heavily tattooed dentist with a roster of celebrity clients including Travis Barker and Post Malone, later clarified to Complex that West still retains a full set of healthy teeth. “He did not have his teeth removed,” Connelly emphasized.
On August 13, Milo Yiannopoulos made a sensational allegation claiming that Dr. Connelly had introduced West to a regimen of nitrous oxide, costing $50,000 a month. Yiannopoulos claimed that the dentist would personally deliver tanks of the gas to West at the Chateau Marmont. He also shared what he alleged was a text exchange between himself and Connelly, and submitted a sworn affidavit to the California Dental Board in an effort to have Connelly’s dental license revoked.
Recently, West and his second wife, Bianca Censori, relocated to Tokyo for a new chapter in their lives. According to journalist Touré, who spoke on TikTok on October 11, West is focused on completing Bully while living in a hotel, producing the album independently without the involvement of other producers.
While the release date for Bully remains unannounced, West has already put out two collaborative albums with Ty Dolla Sign—Vultures 1 on February 10 and Vultures 2 on August 3.
In the meantime, Kim Kardashian, West’s ex-wife, is reportedly managing the responsibilities of being a “pretty much single mom” as West is often absent from co-parenting their four children: son Saint, 8; son Psalm, 5; daughter Chicago, 6; and daughter North, 11. A source informed People on Monday that while Kardashian has support, balancing everything remains challenging.
“Kim’s life revolves around her kids’ schedules,” the source noted. “When they are in school, she works. When they are off, she’s very much focused on being a mom. She is not even dating anyone now. It’s all about work and the kids.”
According to TMZ, West provides Kardashian with $200,000 per month in child support as part of their 20/80 custody arrangement. Since June, West has also been facing a troubling sexual assault lawsuit from his former assistant Lauren Piscotta, which she updated last Friday.
