The video included striking before-and-after images of Gypsy-Rose’s mouth, highlighting the significant changes: a before shot displaying her missing and silver teeth contrasted with the reveal of her new replacement teeth. However, the post did not specify the exact procedure she underwent. According to reports from People, her mother, Claudine “Dee Dee” Blanchard, had several of Gypsy-Rose’s teeth and salivary glands removed under the pretense of treating tooth decay. This action stemmed from Dee Dee’s alleged Munchausen syndrome by proxy, where she fabricated illnesses for her daughter, leading Gypsy-Rose to undergo numerous unnecessary medical procedures.
In December 2023, after serving nearly nine years in prison for her role in her mother’s murder, Gypsy-Rose reflected on her painful experiences, stating that the removal of her salivary glands was the most excruciating and unnecessary procedure she had to endure.
