Osstem Implant Co., the world’s fourth-largest producer of dental implants, has announced plans to upgrade its digital dentistry software.
During its 2024 Osstem Meeting, held from September 7 to 8 at its headquarters in Magok, Seoul, the company unveiled initiatives aimed at expanding its digital service offerings to dental practitioners.
Digital dentistry refers to the use of advanced digital technologies, such as oral scanners and 3D imaging software, to enhance the precision of dental procedures. This technology enables dentists to obtain detailed insights into patients’ oral structures, including key factors like gum bone height and width, allowing for more accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
In addition, Osstem Implant integrates computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) technology to increase the precision and efficiency of implant prosthetics, improving both the quality and reliability of their dental solutions.
The company emphasized its goal to accelerate the development of a comprehensive digital dentistry framework. By utilizing large volumes of clinical data, Osstem aims to provide personalized treatment recommendations and automate the planning process.
The ultimate objective is to create a seamless system where all patient interactions—including consultations, treatment history, and payment details—are efficiently managed and easily accessible for both practitioners and patients.
