The Greater Killeen Community Clinic is set to host its annual Dental Day, known as the “Killeen Day of Smiles,” on Friday, Sept. 13. This event will take place at the Killeen Arts & Activities Center, located at 801 N. Fourth Street, Building B, with entry from Sprott Avenue. The event will begin at 8 a.m.
During the event, free dental services will be provided, specifically focusing on extractions or fillings. These services are available to individuals who meet the following criteria: they must be 18 years of age or older, have a low income, and lack dental insurance.
The clinic will distribute numbers to the first 100 attendees, and dental services will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
“We are pleased to partner with local dental clinics to give back to the community,” said TaNeika Driver-Moultrie, Executive Director of the Greater Killeen Community Clinic. “There is a significant need for dental services in our area, and we hope to expand our offerings of free dental care in the near future.”
The Greater Killeen Community Clinic, a non-profit organization supported by the United Way, is located at 718 N. Second Street, Suite A. The clinic sees patients by appointment only, Monday through Thursday. To schedule an appointment, please call (254) 618-4211.
