Dr. Cherry Ozoalor, Chief Dental Officer at Entafield Dental Clinic, highlighted the project’s importance. “This initiative is more than just dental care; it is about transforming lives by enhancing smiles and boosting self-confidence for individuals who otherwise might not have access to such essential services,” Dr. Ozoalor noted.
Dr. Olufunke Lawrence-Ayeni, Deputy Director and Head of the Dental Unit for Lagos State, commended Entafield Dental Clinic for their efforts. She emphasized the critical role of oral health in overall well-being and social confidence. Dr. Lawrence-Ayeni acknowledged the challenges many face in accessing affordable dental care, underscoring the necessity of projects like ‘Smile Lagos’ in addressing these gaps.
Eti-Osa Local Government Chairman, Hon. Saheed Adesegun Bankole, also praised the initiative, noting its significance in bridging the gap in quality dental care access. He expressed deep gratitude to Entafield Dental Clinic for their commitment and anticipated the positive impact this partnership would have on the community.
The outreach event not only provided free dentures and dental care to 1,000 individuals from underserved areas but also focused on educating participants about oral health. By removing financial barriers and improving dental aesthetics, the project aimed to enhance confidence, social inclusion, and personal and professional opportunities for the beneficiaries.
