Abbey Clancy has publicly criticized the results of her recent orthodontic treatment, expressing disappointment that her braces have left her with teeth resembling those of “comedian legend Ken Dodd.”
The 38-year-old model, who shares four children with her former footballer husband Peter Crouch, 43, has been undergoing dental straightening for the past six months. She has now voiced frustration, claiming the braces have exacerbated her dental issues rather than correcting them.
During a candid discussion on their podcast, “The Therapy Crouch,” where they share personal insights into their lives, Abbey revealed her discontent. She noted that her teeth, which were initially protruding by two millimeters, have now shifted to four millimeters. She described her current dental alignment as “goofier” than before, and criticized the apparent worsening of her crossbite and thinner palate.
Abbey recounted her reaction to the unexpected results, saying, “I ended up having a brace for six months, only to end up with goofier teeth and a thinner palate, which is outrageous. The crossbite hasn’t improved; in fact, it has worsened.”
In a humorous yet frustrated comparison, she likened her teeth to those of Ken Dodd, the renowned Scouse comedian known for his distinctive smile and feather duster prop.
Despite her dissatisfaction, Abbey shared that her dentist assured her the issue would resolve over time, explaining, “The dentist told me, ‘The teeth move in a certain way. Then they come back in.’”
