Formlabs has secured FDA clearance for its Premium Teeth Resin, a new material for 3D printing natural-looking dental appliances. Launched in January, this resin is designed for use with the Form 3B+, Form 3BL, and Form 4B 3D printers, enabling the creation of digital dentures, temporary crowns, and bridges. It mimics natural teeth’s translucency and durability and is now approved in the USA, EU, UK, Switzerland, and Canada.
Guillaume Bailliard, President of Formlabs Healthcare, highlighted that this approval enhances the company’s ability to support dental professionals with tailored solutions. Formlabs has produced over 15 million dental parts with its 3D printers, adding Premium Teeth Resin to its range of materials aimed at improving dental care workflows.
