Dr. Jonathan Johnson of Johnson Orthodontics recently awarded two $500 scholarships to local graduates Alexi Nowakowski from Cape Henlopen High School and Gracie Maughan from Sussex Academy.
The Extraordinary Smiles Scholarship, launched in 2018, aims to support exceptional students in the Cape Region with their college expenses.
This year’s scholarship winners exemplify academic excellence, balancing their rigorous studies with extracurricular involvement and part-time employment. They have been commended by their educators for their dedication, integrity, empathy, and resolve.
Alexi Nowakowski will begin her studies in economics at Vanderbilt University this fall, while Gracie Maughan will pursue a major in physical therapy at the University of Rhode Island.
The Johnson Orthodontics team extends its heartfelt congratulations to both recipients, celebrating their achievements and wishing them continued success and joy in their future endeavors.
