How to prevent dental malocclusion in childhood
Children are in the period of replacement of deciduous teeth and permanent teeth, and are very susceptible to malocclusion caused by various factors. Therefore, we must pay attention to the following points:
(1) Strengthen the balance of diet and nutrition. In childhood, the growth and development of the body is accelerated, and the metabolism is vigorous. Sufficient nutrition and energy are needed to ensure the normal development of all parts of the body. In addition, the food should be easy to digest, but also have a certain hardness to stimulate the development of the jaw bone.
(2) Correct various bad oral habits, such as mouth breathing, finger sucking, tongue sticking, tongue sticking, licking teeth and unilateral chewing habits.
(3) Prevention and treatment of caries. Parents should pay attention to the health of their children’s teeth, and treat caries in time to avoid malocclusion caused by premature loss of deciduous teeth.
(4) Prevention and treatment of systemic diseases such as Julou disease, tuberculosis, indigestion, chronic inflammation of the nasopharynx, and tonsil hypertrophy.
(5) Maintain oral hygiene, urge children to rinse their mouths after meals, and teach them the correct way of brushing their teeth.
