Occluding teeth, in which food is impinged in the gap between the teeth, is a common disease among middle-aged and elderly people.
There are many reasons for the impaction of things, mainly the following aspects: 1. The surface of two adjacent teeth caries, food embedded in the caries hole and not easy to pick out;
2. The missing teeth are not fitted in time, and the adjacent teeth on both sides tilt towards the empty space of the missing tooth, widening the gap between the teeth;
3. The fillings and dentures are not suitable and there is a large gap between them and the adjacent teeth;
4. Long-term untreated gingivitis, gingival atrophy, exposure of the gap between the teeth, or periodontal disease, loosening and displacement of the teeth, widening the gap between the teeth;
Uneven wear on the tooth surface, resulting in excessive cusps or protruding edges. When chewing food, the occlusal pressure pushes the food into the two teeth of the opposite mouth, causing impaction.
